4. A Desire to See People Saved

Transcription

Welcome to today’s lesson on “A Desire to See People Saved”. As Christians, we are called to share the Good News of the Gospel with those who do not yet know Jesus Christ. In this lesson, we will explore why we should evangelize and share the Gospel with others, specifically the desire to see people saved and reconciled to God.

Why should we evangelize?

We should evangelize because we want to see people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and be reconciled to God. The Bible tells us that all people need salvation and that there is no other way to receive it apart from faith in Jesus. Therefore, when we share the Gospel with others, we are offering them the opportunity to receive the gift of salvation and to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The power of the Gospel:

The Gospel has the power to transform lives and bring people into the right relationship with God. When we share the Gospel with others, we are not just sharing a message; we are sharing a life-changing truth. The Gospel has the power to break chains, heal wounds, and set people free from sin and bondage. Therefore, it is our responsibility and privilege to share the Gospel with others so that they too can experience the transformative power of God in their lives.

The Ministry of Reconciliation:

God has reconciled us to Himself through Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. We are called to share the Gospel with others so that they too can be reconciled to God. As we read in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19, God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, when we evangelize, we are taking part in the ministry of reconciliation and helping to bring people into the right relationship with God.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, we should evangelize because we desire to see people saved and reconciled to God. The Gospel has the power to transform lives, and it is our responsibility and privilege to share this life-changing truth with others. As we take part in the ministry of reconciliation, we are helping to bring people into the right relationship with God, and we are fulfilling the Great Commission given by Jesus.
